Inventory and Logistics Specialist

General Summary: Under general supervision, you’ll engage in various key tasks including zone maintenance, vehicle receiving & shipping, inventory scanning, and the movement of vehicles both on and off the lot. In this role, you will also be responsible for lot washing/merchandising, as well as taking and uploading photos to carmax.com, while providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Execute processes as outlined by work instructions and standardized practices. Engage in problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement with the team. Assist in the training of new associates under the guidance of senior Inventory Associates. Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Maintain daily lot cleanliness and security in display and work-in-progress zones. Securely receive vehicles shipped to CarMax. Prepare vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations. Ensure accurate product status through scanning vehicles. Clean and vacuum customer returns and loaner vehicles. Oversee front-lot washing processes. Conduct the Photo Station process. Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs or storage as needed. Support auctions as applicable. Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization per CarMax 5S standards. Complete assigned duties from Flow Inventory Associates and Managers. Minimum Qualifications: This position requires: - A valid driver's license and compliance with CarMax DSEPS standards. - Ability to read and interpret data to maintain accurate records. - A High School diploma or equivalent work experience is preferred. - Capability to execute established work processes. - Completion of required Inventory Associate certifications and assigned learnings. - Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs. Working Conditions: This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy or inclement weather. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays. You’ll be on your feet for extended periods in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and are required to wear CarMax-provided clothing while working. Hourly Rate: $23.94 - $31.13 Benefits: Full-time hourly associates are entitled to: Up to 48 hours of sick time per year, accruing per pay period, and 80 to 200 hours of vacation time annually based on continuous service after a 90-day waiting period. For 6 paid holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday, you will receive 8 hours of pay for each holiday. If you work on a scheduled holiday, you will qualify for Holiday Premium Pay. Our full-time salaried associates receive paid time off with no set limit for sick leave, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, all pending manager approval.
