RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Aid residents with mobility by transferring, repositioning, and ambulating them, ensuring the use of mobility aids when necessary. Accurately take and record residents' vital signs and monitor for any changes in their condition. Serve meals and provide assistance with feeding residents, while monitoring and recording intake and output. Maintain cleanliness by changing bed linens and ensuring resident rooms and common areas are clean and sanitary. Support residents with incontinence care and uphold their dignity and comfort. Observe residents' physical and emotional status, offering companionship and emotional support while alerting the supervising nurse of any concerns. Communicate effectively with residents, families/POAs, and the care team regarding resident needs and any observed changes. Adhere to facility policies including infection control, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Connecticut CNA certification. Ability to comprehend and communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking). A compassionate, resident-centered attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Physical stamina necessary to lift, turn, move, and assist residents; comfortable with bending, standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting. Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment is preferred but not mandatory. Reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively while respecting resident dignity and safety.
