POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY The Team Supervisor is vital in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring outstanding performance and striving for 100% guest satisfaction. This role involves addressing guest and associate issues and performing various tasks aimed at enhancing efficiency and profitability across the hotel. The Team Supervisor will take on the General Manager's responsibilities as needed and ensure adherence to safety and security protocols for all guests and staff. MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES Foster a commitment to delivering the best guest experience possible. Assist the General Manager in guiding associates to implement initiatives that drive revenue and improve satisfaction. Help train associates on company standards and performance expectations. Uphold compliance with company policies and procedures, including promptly reporting safety and security concerns to management. Support the General Manager in managing guest account balances and processing refunds. Monitor supply inventories and ensure budget compliance in day-to-day purchases. Act as the primary contact for guest service inquiries, resolving issues or escalating to the General Manager when necessary. Embrace and promote a service-oriented culture, treating all guests and associates with respect and kindness. Encourage hourly associates to prioritize 100% guest satisfaction. OTHER DUTIES Assist in sales efforts to boost occupancy, enter leads, and explore potential business opportunities in the local market. Provide backup support in various hotel functions as needed, including front desk tasks and housekeeping, to ensure smooth operations. Inspect guest rooms to maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Engage with social media to ensure timely and appropriate responses to guest feedback. Participate in database checks and ensure the hotel meets guest readiness and visual inspection standards. BENEFITS Weekly Pay! KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES Effective communication skills in English for reading, writing, and speaking with guests and associates. Ability to operate property management technology. Basic math skills for handling numerical tasks. Capacity to comprehend and execute detailed instructions. Supervisory skills for managing daily activities of 8 to 15 team members. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for efficient daily operations. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly stationary, navigating the hotel and parking areas, handling objects, and detecting sensory inputs. Occasionally positioned to access low areas or heights and required to maintain stability. Able to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed. Frequent outdoor work depending on hotel location. Occasional exposure to humid conditions, mechanical parts, fumes, or chemicals. Work environment typically features moderate to loud noise levels. Flexibility to travel to cover additional locations within reasonable geographical limits. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Previous hotel experience is mandatory. A High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience and training. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
