Alterations Customer Service Representative The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service within the Alterations department. Reporting to the Store Manager, the CSR is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience at David's Bridal. Tasks include but are not limited to: Welcoming and assisting customers with genuine enthusiasm via phone, virtual chats, and in person, while clearly communicating and adapting to meet customer needs. Utilizing all systems effectively to manage customer flow and achieve a five-star customer experience. Meeting all service vows: Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs, & Be There for every customer; this includes all operational checklist tasks to meet emotional and practical needs. Providing exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously, addressing concerns proactively, and knowing when to escalate issues to the leadership team. Effectively communicating the importance of alterations in perfecting dresses for events in collaboration with the Alterations team. Promoting all alterations services and personalization options. Maintaining store standards for cleanliness and organization to ensure a flawless shopping experience. Adhering to high dress code standards as outlined in the Dress Code policy. Greeting and escorting all alterations customers for their appointments. Pressing, steaming, and spot cleaning merchandise to ensure pristine presentation. Following quality control guidelines to inspect all altered garments before final delivery to customers. Building long-term relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Supporting inventory management through processing special orders and ensuring all merchandise meets quality standards. Processing transactions accurately at the cash wrap to ensure every customer feels celebrated. Collaborating with the Alterations Manager to resolve customer issues as needed. Maintaining a clean and organized alterations area. Performing additional duties as assigned by store management. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach for objects; climb stairs; and perform various movements. Manual dexterity for tasks including operating POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, and using computers. Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity to perform tasks involving reading, using electronic devices, and interacting with customers. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of retail experience in an apparel or specialty store preferred. Previous sewing experience is a plus. Experience with computerized POS systems is beneficial.
