They are seeking a Software Developer 2 to design, develop, troubleshoot, and test software applications, applying knowledge of software architecture and enhancing existing systems. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. • Apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. • Write correct and maintainable code and tests in Java, Python and Shell scripts. • Design and implement features and subsystems based on micro-services architecture. • Write clear technical documentation such as functional and test specifications. • Write code with considerations to handling edge-cases, security, concurrency, maintainability, designing for security, availability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness. • Data structures and algorithms; and • REST, HTML, XML, JSON and Micro services. Qualifications: Required: • Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and six months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation • Write correct and maintainable code and tests in Java, Python and Shell scripts • Design and implement features and subsystems based on micro-services architecture • Write clear technical documentation such as functional and test specifications • Write code with considerations to handling edge-cases, security, concurrency, maintainability, designing for security, availability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness • Data structures and algorithms • REST, HTML, XML, JSON and Micro services • BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area • 1 year of software engineering or related experience Company: Oracle is an integrated cloud application and platform services that sells a range of enterprise information technology solutions.
