Job Description Position Social Worker Location Southgate MI, 48195 Lincoln Park MI 48146 Specialty Adult Crisis Therapists Children's Outpatient Therapist Dialectical Behavioral Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health Foster Care Therapist Acceptable licensures LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC or LPC or TLLP or LLP Salary Up To $73,281 Up To $68,659 Up To $73,281 Up To $73,200 Shift Times 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Children's Outpatient Program REQUIREMENTS Must have a Master's Degree or higher and be a psychologist (TLLP, LLP, or LP), licensed master's social worker (LMSW) or limited licensed master's social worker (LLMSW) supervised by a licensed master's social worker, licensed professional counselor (LPC) or limited licensed professional counselor (LLPC) currently in the state of Michigan. Full license (LMSW, LP, or LPC) preferred. Or must hold state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, LLP). Failure to obtain licensure within the training period will result in the employee being unqualified to perform the function. Beyond the training period, all state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action. Must possess and retain current licensure in the State of Michigan. Must also meet Michigan Department of Community Health requirements for a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire. Must have acceptable MDHHS Central Registry and criminal background check clearance. One year of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families - Required. Electronic medical record experience - Preferred. Proficient with use of computer, (including email, word processing, excel spreadsheets, and databases, etc.) experience with electronic medical preferred. Additional requirements include: cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with children and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible. Foster Care Therapist REQUIREMENTS Must have professional license (either LMSW, LPC or LLP or the respective limited license). - Required Must have master's degree in social work, counseling or psychology. - Required Must have a minimum of 8 months experience in mental health treatment of minors (experience may include clinical internship via master's program). - Required Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Required Additional requirements include: cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with children and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible. Dialectical Behavioral Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have a Masters in Social Work or related field from an accredited program and the corresponding State of Michigan Licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, Ph.D/LP, LLPC, LPC). One year experience working with adult clients with substance abuse/chemical dependency and / or mental health diagnosis. Must also be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Professional provisional certification with full certification being obtained within 4 months of accepting the role. Must demonstrate completion of course work, fieldwork, or job experience which demonstrates competence in individual, family and group substance abuse chemical dependency treatment and mental health. Must be able to work as part of the DBT team for consultation meetings, groups and on call duties. Must also be able to work independently. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational and attention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data accurately and timely. Must have the ability interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Individual programs may have additional requirements. Additional requirements include: cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible. Candidate must be willing to attend, complete and become certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and maintain the fidelity model. Candidates for the Crisis Therapist position must have the ability to engage adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders, their families, and supporters. They must have expertise in helping clients identify their service needs and preferences, helping them build on their individual strengths, resources and support, and navigate the network of services available at The community. They must have an orientation toward providing community outreach services. Candidates must have the ability to provide trauma-informed care and appropriately handle crisis situations. They must be able to use technology competently, demonstrate effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and work independently. Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders, their families and providers. Crisis Therapists REQUIREMENTS Candidates for the Crisis Therapist position must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure. Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire. Failure to obtain licensure within the training period will result in the employee being unqualified to perform work functions. Beyond the training period, all state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action. Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record, and obtain a Michigan Chauffeur License within 30 days of employment. Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist (SATS) credentials within 120 days of hire. Candidates must possess a CAADC credential, or be on an active, approved registered MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire. Upon hire, the application must be submitted for the Development Plan to MCBAP, with or without the required trainings, within 30 days of hire, or they will not be permitted to provide services. Documentation of required trainings must be submitted with the Development Plan Application or within 90 days of hire. Candidates must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illnesses.
