Common seen diagnosis Post operations for CABG, valve replacement/ repair, Impella, IABP management, thoracic aortic aneurysms etc. • Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:2 o CNA: 1:20 • Required Licensure & Certifications: o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS o CCRN (preferred) • Skills required: o Post cardiac assessment, know how to care for circulatory support (ISBP, IMPELLA, LVAD, ECMO), titration of vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medication, interpretation of cardiac waveforms, and hemodynamic monitoring. • Support within the Department: o CNA: ADLs, Blood Sugar, vital signs and transport o Receptionist: Unit management of phone calls, and replacement.
