About the Role & ProgramThe Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team is responsible for supporting clients across The Walt Disney Company including Disney Experiences (DX), Disney Entertainment (e.g., ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Theatrical, etc.), ESPN (ESPN Networks, ESPN+), and Corporate Finance.DDSI leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical, and econometric modeling to build innovative tools that craft business decisions and drive business value. Key partners to the DDSI organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research, and Operations. Roles within DDSI develop, analyze, and implement strategies to increase profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders.What You Will Do Support assessment of business needs, requirements gathering, solution design, delivery, testing, technology integration and user training for the Dine and Experience Revenue Management System Supporting efforts to develop sophisticated yet efficient Tableau data visualizations for the client to support the decision-making process, as well as designing and building source data tables to improve visualization performance Through polished presentations, deliver and effectively communicate key insights, findings, and recommendations in a concise, actionable, and efficient manner to stakeholders and leadership Improve business processes and drive business value by leveraging technology, data analytics, and statistical modeling Extract data for analysis, seek out answers to business problems, and look for opportunities to automate processes Required Qualifications & Skills Experience using Python, SQL and/or Tableau Strategic problem-solving & analytical skills Knowledge of database structure Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple competing priorities Ability to prioritize and set deadlines Ability to clearly document code and processes so others can troubleshoot in the future Experience collecting & analyzing data and reporting on the results Strong attention to detail Knowledge of forecasting and optimization methods and techniques Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience in Hospitality industry Knowledge of revenue management Experience developing, troubleshooting, and scheduling Python code Experience using dining reservation and table management systems Able to work autonomously with little direction or guidance Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences EducationCurrently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in an analytical field including Computer Science, Computer Programming, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or other related quantitative field at an accredited college or universityEligibility Requirements & Program InformationCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
