Hospital: Mission Location: Address: 509 Biltmore Avenue Unit Name: D3-ABuilding: A tower, D corridor, 3rd floor Cost Center: 616 General InformationUnit Specifics: Number of Beds: 10 ICU/PCU Overflow Patient Ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5: 1 PCU Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : see above ratios, charge nurse out of staffing, no unit secretaries or PCTs. Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNNight Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Type of equipment: Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc. Documentation system: Cerner Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support. On Call Requirements: No Floating policy: Yes, travelers will be required to float Patient Experience requirements: Bed side shift report is mandatory in all areas of the hospital, relief charge nurse will be expected to perform nurse leader rounding Hiring profileRequested Skill Set: Must have: Medical ICU experience in large facility, comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Must be a critical thinker, flexible and works well with others. Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, etc), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management. Procedures performed on unit: assist providers with any bedside procedures as needed i.e, chest tube insertion, intubations, etc. Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy Blue or white scrubsUnit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
