This role includes grounds maintenance, seasonal tasks, equipment operation, facility upkeep, and support for school events. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred. Ability to operate grounds maintenance and snow removal equipment safely. Knowledge of athletic field care, landscaping, chemical application, and general maintenance practices. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills. ?Willingness to complete required training and certifications (chemical, safety, bus yellow card). Employment Factors 260 Day Contract 12 Personal Leave Days 10 Vacation Days 8 Hours per day, Non-Certified PERF Benefit Package Hourly Salary Range - $19.34 - $22.58 Key Responsibilities Mow, edge, trim, aerate lawns, remove debris, and maintain landscaped areas. Fertilize and care for lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds; apply chemicals safely with proper training. Shovel, plow, and salt walkways, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter months. Maintain the interior of the High School Field House, including floors, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas; empty trash and restock supplies. Operate and maintain grounds equipment, ensuring machinery is serviced as needed. Assist with minor repairs, event setup/teardown, and emergency response. Maintain logs of maintenance, chemical applications, and snow removal activities. Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and athletic personnel as needed. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Willingness to obtain a yellow card for bus transportation if required. Prepare and maintain athletic fields, including lining, marking, and trimming edges. Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions; exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
