The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time SiAW (Stand-In Attack Weapon) M&S SME Engineer (NH-0801-04) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) on Eglin AFB in Okalossa, FL. Salary Range: $125,776-$192,331 Travel: up to 25% Qualifications/Requirements: This position will serve as a technical expert in Modeling & Simulation to include Operational Analysis, Creation and Sustainment of an Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS), Creation and Sustainment of an Effects Modeling and Simulation (EMS). Candidate must possess 2-3 years' experience in building and running weapon IFS/M&S. Additionally, candidates should have experience in weapons acquisition and system engineering. U.S. Citizenship Obtain & maintain a Security clearance This is a designated Drug Testing Position Must possess Engineering degree from ABET accredited institution 25% travel Vault requirement What You'll Bring to the Team: A Strong Engineering Foundation: You have a deep and broad understanding of engineering principles and practices. Your priority is to ensure that everything we build is safe, reliable, and effective from start to finish. Government & Military Know-How: You're familiar with the structure and operations of the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Air Force. You understand their processes for buying, developing, and maintaining systems, including their budgeting and financial cycles. Hands-On Technical Skills: You have practical knowledge in multiple engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, and aeronautical engineering. You're experienced in using simulations and conducting tests (both in the lab and in real-world conditions) to see how different parts of a system work together. Broad Technical Expertise: You have a wide range of experience in related fields like systems engineering, computer science, and electromagnetics, which you'll use to assess the capabilities of our weapons systems. Original KSA: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of advanced multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, equipment, and systems of engineering and efforts required to achieve and preserve operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E) in system or end-items. 2. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence systems acquisition, development, and/or sustainment; and knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting cycles, financial systems, and restrictions on expenditure of funds. 3. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, and materials engineering, modeling and simulation, hardware component and system testing, and flight and laboratory testing to assess interrelated requirements and impacts. 4. Broad knowledge and experience of related engineering disciplines such as systems engineering, computer science, electromagnetic phenomenology, etc., to assess weapons system capability. 5. Skill in organizing, leading and integrating the efforts of other experts and specialists is required to develop new concepts and approaches; solve very complex interdisciplinary problems, develop new policy; and define new programs/technical plans and requirements. 6.
