Job Description

Position Title: Permanent - Respiratory Therapist/ ICU Job Location: Dallas, Texas, 75246 Job Type: Permanent Full Time Shift: 12 HR Days Shifts Per Week: 3 Must-Have: Registered with RRT, RCP certificate, NRCP from the National Board Respiratory Care. Current BLS Certification Responsibilities: Performs and directs the administration of respiratory care services (including but not limited to oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry), in partnership with attending physician and care team. Care is administered in a quality manner of excellence that is in accordance with established procedures. Administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations. Adheres to established policies including but not limited to infection control and isolation policies, HIPAA, time and attendance, and social media. Performs willingly and professionally with peers and patients to maintain the very best work environment and outcomes. Embraces the autonomy to grow and enhance skills such that professional and technical requirements are accomplished. Focuses on continuous quality improvement in all of the aspects of clinical care, identifying, executing, and sharing opportunities to improve patient care. Education & Experience Requirements: EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS in 30 days of hire or transfer. CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION : Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Reg Respiratory Therapist (RRT): Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board Respiratory Care.
