Makes scheduled and unscheduled trips to various facilities to pick up patients, visitors, or employees in a timely and efficient manner. Adheres to all local and state traffic regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers. Maintains assigned vehicle in clean and suitable condition, refuels vehicles, and replaces all used items. Accurately reports necessary information using the phone system. Delivers and picks up hospital-required items such as films, specimens, mail, and reports from area hospitals and physician offices. Communicates with offices to ascertain needs regarding specimen pick-up and drop-off. Prioritizes job responsibilities and makes decisions, asking for clarification when needed, and maintains flexibility as required. Transports hazardous materials from the point of generation to a designated delivery area.
