Position Summary The Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on Brewster Companies' fleet of heavy construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. This is primarily a field-based position operating a company service truck equipped with a lube skid, allowing the technician to travel between job sites to service equipment directly in the field. This role focuses on routine lubrication, fluid changes, inspections, and minor service work to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Lube Technician plays a key role in identifying early signs of mechanical issues and reporting them to mechanics or management before they become major problems. This position may also require short-notice travel, including occasional out-of-state assignments, depending on project needs. Benefits: Company Paid Medical Insurance for full-time employees. Job Duties: - Operates a company field service truck equipped with a lube skid to perform preventative maintenance on equipment at active job sites. - Performs routine preventative maintenance services including oil changes, greasing, fluid checks, and filter replacements on heavy equipment and company vehicles. - Lubricates moving parts and components on excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment. - Conducts basic equipment inspections while servicing machines to identify leaks, worn components, or other potential issues. - Reports maintenance concerns or mechanical issues to the Equipment Manager or mechanics for further evaluation. - Maintains accurate records of maintenance services performed on each piece of equipment. - Keeps the service truck, lube skid system, and maintenance equipment clean, organized, and properly stocked with fluids and supplies. - Travels between local job sites to perform field maintenance services. - May be required to travel out of state on short notice to support company projects when equipment maintenance needs arise. - Assists mechanics with basic maintenance tasks and shop support when needed. - Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. - Maintains a safe and organized work environment both in the service truck and at job sites. - Performs additional duties as assigned by the Shop/Equipment Manager.Job Qualifications: Previous experience performing preventative maintenance or lubrication services on heavy equipment, trucks, or mechanical equipment preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn heavy equipment maintenance. Ability to safely operate and maintain a service truck with lube skid equipment. Strong attention to detail when inspecting equipment and completing service tasks. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain one. Willingness to travel locally between job sites and occasionally travel out of state on short notice. Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and perform physically demanding work in outdoor construction environments.
