Job DescriptionHow You'll Make an Impact The (AJO) & (AEP) Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and enabling large-scale, real-time customer journey orchestration solutions. This role owns the end-to-end architecture spanning data ingestion, identity, eventing, audience activation, journey design, and cross-channel execution using Adobe Journey Optimizer, AEP, and Real-Time CDP. The architect serves as the technical authority for journey orchestration and activation, partnering with business stakeholders, developers, data teams, and Adobe to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing customer experience solutions. What You'll Achieve Architecture & Design Define end-to-end AJO + AEP architecture for real-time and batch journey use cases Design scalable patterns for event-based, audience-based, and business-event journeys Establish best practices for journey orchestration, decisioning, and channel activation Own solution design across AJO, AEP, RTCDP, and supporting Adobe Experience Cloud components Lead technical design reviews and ensure architectural alignment across teams Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Design and govern AEP schemas (profile & event), datasets, and identity strategies Define data ingestion and activation patterns (streaming, batch, source connectors) Guide teams on profile vs event data modeling to support AJO use cases Ensure data structures support real-time journey entry, personalization, and decisioning Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Architect complex, multi-step customer journeys with real-time triggers and decision logic Define standards for journey authoring, entry conditions, guardrails, and re-entry rules Oversee implementation of custom actions, external integrations, and APIs Enable cross-channel orchestration (email, push, SMS, in-app, web where applicable) Guide teams on journey performance, throughput limits, and operational constraints Leadership & Enablement Act as technical lead and mentor for AJO developers and engineers Translate business requirements into architectural blueprints and technical designs Partner with Adobe, internal platform teams, and client stakeholders on solution alignment Support pre-sales, RFPs, and client solutioning where required Who You Are Deep hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) in enterprise implementations Strong architectural experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and RTCDP Expertise in: Journey orchestration and real-time activation Event-driven architectures Audience and decisioning strategies Identity and profile stitching concepts Experience designing and governing schemas, datasets, and event models Proven ability to architect custom actions and external system integrations Strong troubleshooting skills across data, journeys, and activation pipelines Experience working with large, cross-functional delivery teams Preferred Qualifications Adobe certifications in Journey Optimizer, AEP, and/or RTCDP Experience with Adobe Campaign (Classic or Standard) in hybrid environments Background supporting high-volume, real-time customer engagement platforms Client-facing experience in consulting or enterprise delivery models Click here to view how Epsilon transforms marketing with 1 View, 1 Vision, 1 Voice. Base Salary: $127,900 - $237,500 Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
