Position Type: Classified/Licensed Vocational Nurse Date Posted: 3/3/2026 Location: BUSD District Service Center Closing Date: 03/12/2026 Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/ Hours: 7 hours per day (8:00 am - 3:30 pm) Work Year: 181 Days Salary Schedule: $29.58-$37.14 per hour (6 steps) Primary Function: Under the supervision of an administrator and direction of a credentialed school nurse, provide health care services to medically fragile students, students with disabilities, and general education students. Essential Duties: Provide nursing care within LVN scope of practice Perform specialized procedures (insulin administration, catheterization, trach care, G-tube feedings, oxygen therapy, seizure precautions, etc.) Administer medications per physician orders and district policy Implement emergency health care plans Maintain required health records; assist with IEPs/504s Support staff and communicate with families regarding student health needs Operate medical equipment and assist with lifting/moving students Qualifications: Graduate of accredited nursing program Valid California LVN or RN license Current CPR/First Aid certification Valid CA driver's license School or pediatric experience preferred Attachment(s): LVN
