Job DescriptionSenior Collections Specialist (Hybrid - Alpharetta, GA) 6?Month Contract | Potential for Long?Term Opportunity Company Overview We are partnering with a well?established, global financial services organization operating within the fleet management industry. Role Summary The Intersect Group is seeking two Senior Collections Specialists to support a major clean?up initiative within the accounts receivable function. These positions were newly created to replace offshore resources and address a backlog driven by legacy data, systems migration, and recent go?live activities. You will be responsible for tackling aged balances, resolving complex discrepancies, conducting reconciliations, and performing high?volume B2B collections. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast?moving environments and brings strong analytical ability to prioritize collection efforts and identify root?cause issues. Key Responsibilities Execute high?volume B2B commercial collections for assigned portfolios, including outreach, research, and issue resolution. Clean up backlog created by data migration and the recent systems go?live. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies impacting collectability. Analyze aging, historical trends, and transaction patterns to prioritize collection strategies. Document collection activity, root?cause findings, and action items for leadership review. Support ad?hoc projects and collection initiatives as assigned. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues, credit concerns, and system?related challenges. Maintain professionalism with strategic accounts and high?value customers. Key Requirements 5+ years of B2B commercial collections experience within a Fortune 500 environment, managing $30M+ portfolios and strategic accounts. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent relevant experience). Advanced analytical skills with experience reviewing historical reports, identifying root causes, and prioritizing work based on data?driven insights. Proficiency with enterprise?level accounting or ERP systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, NetSuite, etc.). Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, concatenate, and similar functions. Strong communication, follow?through, and ability to work independently within a supportive team. Preferred Skills Experience in the fleet management industry. Oracle or Oracle Cloud experience. High?volume phone collections experience (include daily call volume on resume). Experience with reconciliations, complex billing structures, or large enterprise customers. Demonstrated experience navigating customer data across multiple systems. What the Hiring Managers Value Candidates with clear examples of reconciliations and collections resolution work.
