Job Title: Jr Pump Mechanic (Nights) Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic service and repair company specializing in pumps and rotating equipment as a Junior Pump Mechanic. This role offers the opportunity to start at an entry-level position while developing your skills to become a 1st class API Pump mechanic over time. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to support the team in various tasks including cleaning, repairs, and fabricating parts.Responsibilities Assist mechanics in overhauls and repairs of pumps and rotating equipment. Support machinists in fabricating parts. Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping and mopping. Use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, OD & ID micrometers. Read and understand blueprints and schematics. Engage in assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and troubleshooting of mechanical components. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years experience as a mechanic. Proficiency with measuring tools including tape measures and micrometers. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pump mechanics and rotating equipment. Interest in developing a long-term career within the company. The night shift operates from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, and Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Employees work 10-hour shifts with paid breaks and unpaid lunches, earning 50-60 hours weekly. Occasionally, Sunday shifts are available at double time.
