• About Facility: o 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 o 457 licensed beds o Trauma Level III o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center/STEMI center o Stroke Center of Excellence o Bariatric Center of Excellence o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit • Unit Information: o Beds: 12 in prep/recovery, 2 Cath Lab, 1 Vascular Lab, 1 EP Lab o Minimum Years of Experience required? At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes • Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Cardiac, STEMI, Afib Ablation, Device placement, Vascular needs o Heavy Vascular need for traveler with some Cath Lab - any lower extremity angiogram, occasional upper/fistulagram, interventional cases, PE, DVT, thrombolytics, venograms, fistula creation, carotid angiogram with stent, EVAR, TAVR, femoral/. achial/pedal access o Cath Lab: if they have no vascular cases - they could assist in Cath Lab but they will be scheduled 4(10s) in the Vascular Lab: right and left heart Cath with intervention, complex PCI, pericardiocentesis, etc. - mostly radial but some femoral • Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o RN: BLS, ACLS o Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS • Skills required: o RN - circulate and monitor only • function independently in cases, experience in a blended lab (Cath/EP/Vascular), strong IV skills, EPIC experience, sterile technique, ability and willingness to take call, able to titrate medications - to include pressors, cardiac rhythm interpretation, knowledge of how to respond to codes • Cath Lab Tech: discussed during interview • Support within the Department: o Cath Lab leadership • Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC - required o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Philips o Unit specific equipment: multiple systems in the lab: Merge Hemo; Siemens Xray • Floating: If yes, where? o No • Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental - EPIC training and 1 day on the unit • Scheduling: o Dedicated Vascular Call Team o Weekend rotation: depends on needs of department - discussed during interview o Call: depends on needs of department - discussed during interview • Call back time: 1 hr for Vascular/30 min for STEMI • Sleep room: no o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Manager approval o Shift times: 10-hour shifts starting at 0700/40h per week o Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks • Other notes: o Scrub Color: provided o Parking: Free o Unit Culture: friendly, adaptive, welcoming to others
