Fleet Mechanic

Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Mechanic Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment. This role requires expertise in hydraulic systems, engine repairs, and automotive maintenance.Responsibilities Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary. Conduct brake pad repairs and oil changes on fleet vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment. Maintain accurate documentation and vehicle software systems, such as work orders and vehicle records. Assist Lead Technicians with larger fleet repairs, including engine repairs, SCR diagnostics, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Essential Skills Experience with hydraulic equipment, fleet maintenance, and automotive mechanics. Proficiency in preventive maintenance, engine diagnostics, and diesel maintenance. Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certifications in automotive repair are highly preferred. All work will be conducted on-site in the shop, alongside a team of four technicians, with two on each shift. Candidates will train on the 1st shift, with flexible start and end times available.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.50 - $38.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
