Pediatric Emergency Department RN - Peds ED RN

This well-established 300-bed hospital is looking for a full-time Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (10 hour night shift). Job Description As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will provide clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. You will specialize in the medical treatment of infants, children and adolescents and assist families in addressing their options, problems, fears, and concerns for their child. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policies Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
