Material Handler As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within the facility. You will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of shipments, and preparing them for distribution. Your duties will also include packing and unpacking items, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining records of all shipments. Additionally, you will load and unload trucks and ensure the work area is clean and organized. Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments. Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Pack and unpack items to be shipped. Prepare documents for shipment, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels. Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Load and unload trucks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility. Support production by ensuring materials are accurately stocked, organized, and delivered to the correct departments in a timely manner. Essential Skills: 1+ year of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in picking and general labor. Experience in production, packaging, and machine operation. Work Environment: The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with an estimated 30 days of training. Once trained, shifts are 8pm-8am from Sunday to Wednesday or Monday to Thursday, as determined by the supervisor. There is also an option to work a total of 5 days with 12-hour shifts. The facility is climate-controlled, and the role involves handling materials using technology such as RF scanners and forklifts. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peachtree City, GA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
