Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED! Unit Information: • Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients. • High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg Schedule:Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final scheduleFirst week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptorIf you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Requirements: • 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH • Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry • Ratio: 1:3 PCU • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. • Previous travel experience preferred. Orientation and Training: • First week: Monday to Friday dayshift orientation. • Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor. Note: Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5 but may vary based on unit needs. Weekend shifts are variable.
