Job title:Operator Loader

Operator Loader The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed policies, procedures, and operator manuals. Responsibilities include: Operating front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials Starting engine, shifting gears, pressing pedals, and turning steering wheel Moving levers to lower and tilt bucket and driving front-end loader Moving levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, driving vehicle to work site, and moving levers to dump material Verifying amount of aggregate in storage bins and filling hoppers Performing routine maintenance on loaders Participating in ensuring quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards Ensuring established performance indicators are met Working toward improvement of the plant and surrounding area Following procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations Participating in minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment Conferring with plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems Hauling cement and/or additives from storage area Adhering to CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations Meeting or exceeding company safety standards Performing other job responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read, write, and speak English Bilingual a plus Working Conditions: Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors Must wear protective equipment while at the location Physical Requirements: Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls Legal Notices: CEMEX is an EEO/AA (equal opportunity/affirmative action) institution and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital or familial status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by under federal, state or local law in the programs or activities which it operates.
