SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY: The High School Counseling Coordinator provides districtwide leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive school counseling program aligned to the ASCA National Model, Indiana's Comprehensive School Counseling Framework, and district priorities. This role requires strong knowledge of high school counseling systems and Indiana's graduation requirements to support on-time graduation, diploma completion, and postsecondary readiness. The Coordinator supports equitable, data-informed academic, career, and social-emotional services across all high schools while co-supervising the Postsecondary Readiness (PSR) Counselor team. The Coordinator ensures that school counseling and postsecondary readiness efforts are aligned to the Postsecondary Readiness Department's key performance indicators (KPIs) and uses those measures to guide planning, implementation, and continuous improvement. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Comprehensive School Counseling Leadership Lead districtwide implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive school counseling program aligned to the ASCA National Model. Support high school counseling teams in setting goals aligned to student outcome data, equity indicators, school improvement priorities, graduation progress, and Postsecondary Readiness KPIs. Promote consistent implementation of counseling practices while honoring school-based needs and local context. Support alignment of counseling interventions to MTSS/MTMDSS frameworks. Ensure counseling practices align with ethical standards, district policy, and Indiana graduation and accountability requirements. Professional Learning and Capacity Building Design and facilitate professional learning for school counselors and PSR counselors focused on data-informed practice, tiered supports, college and career readiness, equity-centered counseling, ethical practice, and Indiana graduation requirements. Provide targeted guidance on Indiana diploma types, graduation pathways, readiness seals, and postsecondary alignment. Build counselor leadership capacity through coaching, modeling, and collaborative learning. Support counselors in using ASCA-aligned tools such as action plans, annual agreements, calendars, and program assessments. Co-Supervision of Postsecondary Readiness Counselors Co-supervise, coach, and evaluate Postsecondary Readiness Counselors within Future Centers. Align PSR Counselor roles, workflows, and priorities to district secondary readiness goals, Indiana graduation pathways, and Postsecondary Readiness KPIs. Monitor progress toward KPIs and support continuous improvement through coaching and targeted adjustments. Facilitate team meetings, training cycles, and collaboration with school counseling teams and district partners. Ensure consistent, equitable postsecondary exposure for students in grades 9-11. Data, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement Lead the use of student outcome, program, and perception data to evaluate counseling and postsecondary readiness initiatives and measure progress toward Postsecondary Readiness KPIs. Facilitate regular review of KPI data with district and school-based teams to inform strategy, prioritize supports, and guide continuous improvement. Identify system-level gaps related to credit attainment, on-track status, graduation progress, and postsecondary readiness, and recommend programmatic adjustments. Postsecondary Readiness Programming and Partnerships Support districtwide college, career, and workforce readiness programming through collaboration with higher education, workforce, community, and state partners. Ensure alignment between counseling programming, Indiana diploma requirements, readiness seals, workforce initiatives, and Postsecondary Readiness KPIs. Support integration of career exploration, academic planning, and postsecondary transition supports into counseling programs. Student Support, Transitions, and Crisis Response Support transition planning for students entering high school and transitioning to postsecondary pathways. Support targeted programming for students requiring additional academic, behavioral, or postsecondary readiness supports within a tiered framework. Partner with district and school teams to support coordinated crisis response and consultation on complex student situations. Professional Engagement and Systems Leadership Stay current on best practices, research, and policy related to school counseling, postsecondary access, workforce development, and Indiana secondary education. Participate in professional networks and contribute to districtwide strategic planning, cross-department collaboration, and refinement of Postsecondary Readiness KPIs. Perform other duties as assigned.
