Job Description: The Accounting, Taxation and Business Law Department at SUNY Old Westbury regularly seeks to hire adjunct instructors to teach courses as needed in the department. The Accounting, Taxation and Business Law Department offers a B.S. degree in Accounting as well as three Masters degrees: M.S. Accounting, M.S. Taxation and M.S. Forensic Accounting. Candidates for adjunct positions should have a record of high-quality teaching in support of the College Mission. We are seeking applicants who can teach the following areas in both our undergraduate and graduate programs: Technology Courses: Business/Accounting Analytics; Information Technology; and Accounting Information Systems Financial Accounting Courses: Intermediate Accounting I and II; Cost Graduate Tax Courses: Taxation of Business Entities; Taxation of Reorganizations and Liquidations; Taxation of Estate and Trusts, Estate and Gift Tax Graduate Forensic Courses If you are qualified to teach other accounting courses in addition to the courses mentioned above, please indicate this in your letter of application. Please indicate in your letter if you have experience and/or are willing to teach in remote (online synchronous or asynchronous) modalities. Requirements: Required Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree in Accounting or a related field; and One Professional Accounting Certification: CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE, CISA. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Accounting or closely related field. Previous teaching experience at the college or graduate levels.
