Bookkeeper experience required; minimum of three years of related work experience in a financial setting desired. General clerical skills such as typing, filing, computer literacy, and knowledge of basic office machines necessary. CSI/SmartFusion experience preferred. Applicant must have superb organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to meet all deadlines as required in a fast paced environment. Applicant must be able to follow instructions quickly and accurately as assigned. Applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public, students, and staff as well as the ability to use independent judgment and make decisions. Responsibilities:1. Work Habits Observes assigned work hours. Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance. Follows the daily schedule. Adjusts to work assignments and/or schedule changes. 2. Performance Responsibilities Counts and receipts all school monies. Prepares and conducts bank deposits. Processes payments on accounts. Enters all transactions into financial software. Balances monthly bank statements. Maintains accurate paper trail on all transactions for audit purposes and accurate/current balances on each fund. Keeps accurate records of all activity funds. Maintains and distributes purchase orders as well as accurate records on expenditure accounts. Prepares and submits for payment all purchase orders for purchases. Issues payments ot vendors by check, maintains a file of paid invoices, and charges expenditures to proper activity account. Provides general clerical support in the school office. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal or his/her designee. Maintains confidentiality and cooperative working relationship with principal, students, parents, staff and the public. 3. Personal Qualities Demonstrates a positive attitude toward work assignment. Accepts responsibility for the work assigned. Maintains appropriate appearance and personal hygiene. Accepts constructive feedback. Maintains effective working relationships with all employees.
