Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. Audit internal processes to ensure the quality system's functionality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform all required Visual inspections per the Standard Operating Procedure for the Product Line each shift Perform required dimensional inspections and destructive tests with various styles of gauges such micrometers, calipers, and microscopes Understands and uses run and control charts Make decision on whether the product should be held and train line personnel on the hold process Review SPC charts daily and report any out of control condition Perform daily data review, report out of specification conditions, and audit on process inspections on the manufacturing lines Verify isolation protocol for non-conforming (HFI) product to ensure all product is isolated correctly Work with manufacturing to ensure corrective actions are taken to resolve the cause of non-conforming (HFI) product Conduct AQL for non-conforming material (HFI) product, follow applicable SOP Perform Process Control audits, report any non-conformance(s) Audit detection systems (Vision system, testers) immediately report non-conformance to supervisor if detection system product must be isolated to last good inspection Verify compliance to Change Over documentation and requirements Monitor and report issues related to Gauges, SOP and Specification Audit test ends/cans, make new sets when required Provide training to set-up and packers on daily data entry, quality checks, and SOP Other duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 Years of previous work experience in basic quality control, intermediate quality control, SPC and/or control charts, and auditing Must be able to work with decimals carried out to five places, negative and positive numbers, computing averages, and percentages Prior experience with SQF, ISO or AIB certifications, HACCP, GMP's, and Food Safety Programs preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORKING CONDITIONS: Generally, works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic. The team member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is frequently loud. The Massillon plant and grounds are tobacco-free. This means that the use of tobacco of any kind will not be permitted anywhere in the building or on Crown property. This also includes prohibiting the use of any electronic cigarette devices.
