Claims Coordinator

The Assistant Underwriter is responsible for supporting the Underwriting Team by servicing our agents in a broad range of requests including processing policy changes and handling entry level requests from agents and underwriters via email and phone. The Assistant Underwriter is to assist the agent in a once and done manner with Ease of Doing Business as the center of each interaction. Ideal Canditate would be Bi-Lingual DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Review and process endorsements, cancellation, reinstatements, broker of record requests, etc., within established guidelines • Use discretion and critical thinking skills to make decisions and resolve issues within authority level • Accountable to build and maintain effective relationships with agents and vendors • Ensure compliance with industry and governmental regulations • Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others as needed in a courteous and professional manner • Maintains the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: 1 Bachelor's Degree Describe specific requirements: • 2-3 years' experience policy level underwriting and agency service within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, preferably personal lines property • Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
