This role is ideal for early-career engineers who want hands-on exposure to structural and mechanical design, customer-facing engineering work, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. As a Mechanical Engineer at ACECO, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and execution of engineered lifting systems while learning from experienced engineers and working closely with designers, project managers, and manufacturing teams. (Check us out on YouTube here)Real Engineering Work - Contribute to the design of complex material handling systems used in demanding industrial environments Hands-On Industry Experience - Work closely with manufacturing, service teams, and project managers to see designs come to life Technical Growth - Develop expertise in structural analysis, machine design, and industrial equipment engineering Mentorship & Collaboration - Work alongside experienced engineers and designers who support professional development What You'll DoEngineering Design & Analysis Perform basic structural and mechanical design calculations using hand calculations or engineering software such as MathCad or ANSYS Support component selection and preparation of engineering drawings Assist with static, dynamic, and fatigue stress analysis as required Project Engineering Support Review new orders received from Sales and compare specifications to proposals Identify discrepancies, omissions, or design questions and coordinate with Sales and Project Managers to resolve them Prepare layout and arrangement drawings for equipment designs and customer approval Design Coordination Transfer project intent and design requirements to Mechanical Designers for completion of detail drawings and bills of material Provide ongoing support during the design phase to ensure drawings align with engineering intent Review detail drawings for accuracy and completeness Customer & Field Coordination Support customer communications related to drawing approvals and design questions as directed by the Project Manager Visit customer sites when necessary to verify field conditions and dimensions Work with shop personnel to resolve design questions or manufacturing challenges What We're Looking ForEducation Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus Experience Entry-level candidates or recent graduates encouraged to apply Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in machine design or mechanical systems preferred Experience with material handling equipment or industrial systems a plus Technical Skills Familiarity with mechanical and structural design principles Exposure to FEA tools such as ANSYS preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Professional Skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently within established engineering procedures Strong collaboration skills across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams High attention to detail and commitment to engineering accuracy REQUIREMENTS Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9) Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R.
