About the Organization A rapidly expanding renewable energy manufacturer is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance organization through the next phase of growth. The company operates in the solar technology and components space and is entering a period of significant scale, operational expansion, and increased investment activity. This is a unique opportunity to join an organization transitioning from earlystage operations into a fully integrated, highgrowth manufacturing platform. The CFO will be the company's first true strategic finance leader and will play a central role in shaping financial discipline, driving operational excellence, and preparing the business for longterm value creation. The company operates a growing manufacturing footprint in Houston and is expanding capacity to support increasing customer demand. With a strong revenue base and ongoing investments in automation, system upgrades, and vertical integration, the business is positioning itself for substantial scale over the coming years. The next phase of growth includes: Expanding manufacturing capacity through the acquisition of an additional facility Increasing internal production of key components Strengthening financial infrastructure and systems Preparing for potential outside investment and longterm capital events Role Overview The CFO will be both a hands-on operator and a strategic executive, responsible for building a high-performance finance function and supporting an active manufacturing environment. This leader will oversee all financial operations while driving modernization across processes, systems, and reporting. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable advising ownership on strategic initiatives and rolling up their sleeves to support daily financial activity. This is a builder role suited for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led businesses undergoing rapid expansion. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operations Lead, develop, and elevate the existing accounting and finance team Oversee daily financial activities to support a growing, multishift manufacturing operation Build scalable workflows, controls, and reporting mechanisms Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement capabilities Financial Systems & Infrastructure Modernize financial systems and drive process automation Implement improved reporting frameworks and internal controls Lead ERP optimization efforts (SAP S/4HANA experience preferred) Strategic Financial Management Serve as the financial partner to ownership and senior leadership Guide the business through a major growth and capital investment cycle Support evaluation and integration of future facility expansions Enhance investorfacing materials and assist with funding activities Long-Term Planning & Value Creation Prepare the company for potential institutional investment Support efforts related to vertical integration and product capability expansion Contribute to longterm planning as the business moves toward significant revenue targets and potential future liquidity events Required Experience Background in manufacturing, industrials, or other capitalintensive businesses Proven ability to build and scale finance teams in highgrowth environments Strong command of FP&A, cash management, and operational finance Experience working closely with founders or entrepreneurs Track record supporting capital raises, investor communications, or similar activities Demonstrated ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP experience Preferred Experience Exposure to IPO preparation or publicly traded environments Mandarin proficiency (beneficial but not required) Who Will Thrive in This Role This opportunity is ideal for a CFO who enjoys creating structure from the ground up.
