Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an AVP- level Corporate Actuary for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients in thier Boston, Ma office. AVP, Corporate Actuary Position Overview A leading U.S. life and annuity insurance platform is seeking an AVP-level Corporate Actuary (Cash Flow Testing, Life & Annuity) to join its Appointed Actuary team. This role will play a critical part in the quarterly execution, analysis, and governance of statutory Cash Flow Testing (CFT) and C3P1 capital results across multiple insurance entities.This is a highly visible role partnering closely with Investments, Risk, Finance, Modeling, and Technology. This role is best suited for a technically strong statutory actuary who enjoys owning production processes, challenging model outputs, improving governance frameworks, and partnering closely with Investments and Risk. It is not a pure modeling build role - it is a production, oversight, governance, and cross-functional leadership role within the Appointed Actuary structure. Key Responsibilities • Lead and support quarterly statutory Cash Flow Testing (CFT) and C3P1 capital production • Own and enhance the end-to-end CFT process, including data validation, model execution, results review, attribution analysis, and management reporting • Strengthen governance, documentation, and internal controls related to CFT production • Partner with Actuarial Modeling and Production teams to maintain and enhance models for CFT and C3P1 use • Collaborate with Investments and Risk teams to ensure asset assumptions and ALM strategies are appropriately reflected in projections • Perform independent review and challenge of model outputs to ensure reasonableness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance • Prepare and support year-end statutory filings related to Cash Flow Testing in accordance with Actuarial Guidelines, the Valuation Manual, and ASOP requirements • Support internal and external audits and respond to regulatory inquiries • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, including reporting and visualization enhancements • Present key results and insights to actuarial leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related discipline • FSA or near-FSA preferred • 8+ years of experience in life and/or annuity insurance • Strong experience with U.S. Statutory framework and Cash Flow Testing requirements • Experience with MG-ALFA or other actuarial projection/valuation software preferred • Exposure to asset modeling and ALM concepts preferred • Experience with databases and/or data visualization tools (PowerBI or similar) a plus • Strong technical depth with ability to analyze complex actuarial calculations • Experience with annuity products strongly preferred • Demonstrated project leadership or people leadership experience a plus • Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally • Ownership mindset, self-starter, and comfortable operating in a highly collaborative environment SGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
