Adecco is assisting a premier local manufacturing client recruiting for an HSE Coordinator in Saline, Michigan. Check out the details below to see if it would be a great fit to further your career! The role of the HSE coordinator is to provide support to the HSE Manager and plant staff to ensure a safe workplace that complies with Faurecia rules and governmental regulations related to Health, Safety & Environmental activities. Responsibilities include: • Monitor legal compliance and manage the site's relations with local government and regulatory organizations to maintain applicable plans, permits, and training. • Coordinate emergency actions and carry out initial accident enquiries. • Investigate and follow-up on Worker's Compensation Claims as directed. • Review operator standardized work instruction for PPE usage and other machine and equipment safety protocols. • Support the reporting of legal, insurance and other HSE indicators (e.g. lost time (FR0t), medical treatment (FR1t), first aid and Near Miss, Audit results, environmental data, etc.). • Assist with emergency preparedness and response actions (e.g. fire drill, tornado drill, etc.). • Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction. • Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site. • Support commitments established in the ISO 14001/45001 Integrated Policy. • Conform to requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001/45001 Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures and work instructions. • Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant HSE requirements. Education / Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Health, Safety & Environment related degree preferred. • Internal or Lead Auditor in EMS, Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) or related management system • Experience in a plant or in an industrial environment • Experience of at least 1 year in Workers Compensation claims management (USA) • Professional safety certifications preferred (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, etc • Knowledge of HSE tools and methods: 7 Safety fundamentals, 5 why methodology, job instruction, audits, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 • Knowledge of national and local legislation If interested and qualified, click on apply now for immediate consideration for this HSE Manager position in Saline, Michigan.
