Programming Experience Which PLC/SCADA/HMI manufacturers do you have experience with, how many years of each, and which programming languages are you proficient in and rank them 1-5 (least to most proficient) 2. Engineering Documentation A significant part of this role involves reading, redlining, and validating schematics to generate concise technical documentation. Describe your process for taking a newly marked-up P&ID and translating it into a comprehensive Input/Output Matrix and Functional Specification. Technical documentation experience Job Summary: The Advanced Equipment Systems Division (AES) of Air Liquide Electronics specializes in providing chemical and specialty gas management equipment solutions. The Controls Engineer will be integral to this mission, designing and implementing software and controls systems for this equipment, including blending systems. The role will collaborate with multiple disciplines-such as mechanical, electrical, and technicians-to create and improve manufacturing systems and develop software solutions for a wide variety of electro-mechanical equipment used in the semiconductor and other industries. Job Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and customize software for electro-mechanical control systems used in chemical dispense, blending, and distribution systems. • Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, which includes Functional Specifications, IO Matrices, operational procedures, and test procedures. • Read, interpret, redline, and validate electrical schematics and engineering drawings. • Support manufacturing and supply management teams to develop methods, requirements, and procedures consistent with project goals for manufacturing quality and project costs. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. • 3+ years of experience with PLC programming, specifically utilizing Ladder Logic and Structured Text. • HMI programming experience • Proven expertise in SCADA communication, including Ethernet networks and OPC Servers (e.g., RSLinx, Kepware/IGS) • Strong technical command of Ethernet protocols, TCP/IP networking, and hardware troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime • Strong foundational knowledge of electrical systems and hardware, including the ability to read, edit, redline, and validate P&IDs, schematics, and other product documentation Preferred Experience and Exposure: • SCADA Software: GE Cimplicity (Preferable), FactoryTalk View SE • PLC Software: Allen Bradley Studio 5000 / Logix 5000 (Preferable), Emerson (GE) Proficy Machine Edition (Preferable), Siemens TIA Portal • HMI Development: Emerson Proficy Machine Edition (Preferable), Proface • Programming/Coding: Experience with VB/C# Enable Skills-Based Hiring No
