Job Description

Position Summary The Field Technician plays a critical role in supporting merger and acquisition projects by delivering hands-on, onsite technical services during onboarding, Microsoft 365 cutovers, and end-user workstation deployments. This role requires direct interaction with end users throughout multiple phases of the project and demands strong technical knowledge,adaptability, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys traveling, adapts quickly to change, and excels in face-to-face user support during high-impact technology transitions. Core Technical Requirements Level 2 field technician experience Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including: SharePoint OneDrive Exchange Online Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Basic understanding of Intune and Autopilot Experience with MFA setup and enforcement Experience configuring and supporting printers Basic networking skills and troubleshooting knowledge Experience with: User profile setup and migration Workstation setup and reloads Backing up and restoring user profiles Understanding of: File servers and network shares NTFS permissions General application troubleshooting Understanding of RDS environments and FSLogix Experience documenting processes and procedures in Confluence Experience using ConnectWise and ScreenConnect Soft Skills & Professional Requirements Excellent customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow standards, processes, and security requirements Comfortable working directly with users during periods of change Ability and willingness to travel frequently Project Responsibilities Onboarding - Field Technician Responsibilities Configure and validate MFA for end users Perform password resets and initial access support Microsoft 365 Cutover - Field Technician Responsibilities Travel onsite to support cutover activities Reconfigure Outlook profiles Reconfigure OneDrive Configure and validate access to SharePoint sites Validate access to: Calendars Shared mailboxes Configure Outlook signatures Configure scan-to-email functionality Configure Outlook on mobile devices Assist users with post-cutover issues File Migration, Workstation Deployment & Printing - Field Technician Responsibilities Travel onsite for deployment activities Assist with inventory validation Perform workstation reloads Back up and restore user profiles Physically set up user workstations at desks One-on-One User Setup Sessions Assist with initial user login Activate Microsoft Office Configure email access Validate access to calendars and shared mailboxes Set up OneDrive Configure access to SharePoint Set up printers Validate access to business line applications Configure remote desktop profiles Coach users on how to access and use the new environment Provide excellent customer service throughout the experience Preferred Experience Prior experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) IT projects Experience working in a project-driven or MSP environment Certifications (Required or Preferred) Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900) Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) Networking+
