Job Type: Regular Work Location: Little Ferry, NJ 07643 Overview: 2020 Companies, in partnership with Samsung Electronics America, seeks an experienced Appliance Repair Technical Trainer to join the team. Samsung is seeking an experienced and passionate Appliance Repair Technical Training Specialist to develop and deliver high-impact training for our Authorized Service Network technicians across consumer electronics and appliance product lines. In this role, you will design engaging classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training programs; create technical training content and resources; assess and mentor technicians; and ensure alignment with industry standards and safety protocols. This position is ideal for a skilled appliance repair professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and shaping technical capability at scale, with the flexibility to travel extensively and work in dynamic training environments. Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time without current or future visa sponsorship. Develop and Deliver Training: Create comprehensive training programs, including classroom instruction and practical, hands-on sessions covering a range of household appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, etc.) Deliver clear, engaging, and effective training sessions tailored to various skill levels A combination of classroom, virtual, and OJT training is required Develop Training Curriculum: Design and update training manuals, guides, and digital resources in line with current industry standards and technological advancements Evaluate and incorporate new techniques, tools, and safety protocols into the curriculum Ability to create content with PowerPoint, as well as basic Excel skills, is a must Assess and Mentor: Evaluate trainees' progress through practical assessments, quizzes, and hands-on demonstrations Provide constructive feedback and one-on-one coaching to ensure continuous improvement and skill development Analyze training results, based on set KPI goals Maintain Industry Standards: Ensure all training sessions adhere to the industry's best practices and safety regulations Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technological advancements in appliance repair Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with technical experts, industry partners, and management to align training programs with business objectives and customer needs Facilitate open communication channels for trainees to ask questions and share insights Qualifications: Total 5+ years' experience in appliance repair Previous background in training is preferred, but not necessary Minimum of a high school diploma Attributes: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to train in front of large audiences Ability to create a comprehensive training plan based on course needs Skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint Ability to learn new things quickly Role Requirements and Expectations: Because our service network is spread across the US, we require travel of 50%-80% at times. With a combination of classroom, virtual, and OJT training, the candidate needs to be flexible with working conditions. The classroom will require up to 7 hours of standing. Virtual will require the ability to conduct training via WebEx. OJT will require the candidate to conduct training in our customers' homes and work on their products. Work is sometimes performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal for more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods. Movement and transportation of equipment may exceed 300 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress, which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges, and project management deadlines. May require working additional hours beyond the normal schedule.
