Job Details — Travel L&D RN / Travel Nursing Job Location: Seneca, SC 29672 (Oconee County) Job Title: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN / OB Nurse) Setting: Family Birthplace; LDRP with acute nursery responsibilities (Baby-Friendly hospital) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026) Shift: Nights — 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required Orientation: Up to 16 hours (billable) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860–$1960/week Required Qualifications — Registered Nurse (RN), L&D Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a compact state (preferred) Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience (strong candidates with 1 year will be considered) Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Advanced), AWHONN Intermediate, and Lactation certification (or equivalent) Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience required (experience with Omnicell medication system a plus) Ability to float to other qualified units and participate in call/float assignments Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital experience preferred Key Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery Nursing Duties Provide comprehensive, high-quality care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, newborns, and GYN surgery patients in an LDRP environment Cross-trained responsibilities: labor & delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage Manage nursery duties including hearing screenings and newborn assessments (sick nursery care as needed) Maintain required patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for Cytotec inductions, 1:1 for magnesium sulfate patients, 1:3 for couplet care, and 1:1 for sick nursery Safely administer medications via Omnicell and document accurately in EPIC; ensure compliance with hospital policies and Baby-Friendly practices Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Pediatrics, and providers for coordinated patient care Support quality improvement initiatives, patient education, and evidence-based maternity nursing practice Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
