Location: 501 42nd St N, Fargo, ND 58102 Position Summary The Grain Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring reliable grain supply, accurate contract execution, and smooth multifacility operations. This position supports grain procurement activities for multiple locations, manages inbound logistics, and collaborates closely with plant operations, accounting, and merchandising teams. Key Responsibilities Multi-Facility Grain ExecutionSupport grain procurement and execution activities for multiple facilities, including Fargo and Lubbock.Coordinate daily and weekly inbound grain logistics, including:Scheduling trucks and managing delivery timingMonitoring freight availability and market ratesEnsuring deliveries align with plant demand and storage capacityReview bin charts and inventory levels daily to manage inbound flow and coverage.Track open contracts versus delivered volumes and proactively escalate risks or discrepancies. Contract Administration & Position TrackingEnter, maintain, and reconcile grain purchase contracts across multiple facilities.Monitor contract performance, delivery pace, and outstanding obligations.Partner with accounting and procurement teams to resolve contract or settlement discrepancies.Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of inventory positions, coverage, and movement. Plant & Cross-Functional CoordinationServe as a daily point of coordination between grain procurement, plant operations, logistics, accounting, and quality teams.Communicate plant shutdowns, slowdowns, or special operational needs that impact grain flow.Assist in managing quality specifications, including grade, moisture, and condition issues. Market & Merchandising DevelopmentBuild foundational knowledge of futures, basis, cash markets, and regional supply dynamics.Participate in conversations with farmers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand market conditions.Assist with reporting related to inventory, coverage, freight economics, and market risk.Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement and execution processes.
