The Opportunity: Position: Full-Time Rate: $18.00 per hour Location: San Bruno Skilled Nursing Benefits: Comprehensive Full-Time Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off) Your Impact & Responsibilities: As the Nurse Scheduler, you are the logistical backbone of the nursing department. Master Scheduling: Create and post monthly nursing schedules, coordinating time-off requests and ensuring all units have appropriate coverage. Staffing Oversight: Monitor daily attendance, tracking tardiness and absenteeism. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to report patterns and ensure policy compliance. Onboarding Support: Coordinate with Human Resources and the DON to ensure new hires have schedules and time cards ready prior to their orientation date. Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff regarding scheduling inquiries, modified duty restrictions, and leave requests. Recruitment Coordination: Field calls from job applicants, provide information on position availability, and coordinate interviews for the nursing leadership team. Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate employee contact lists, prepare written correspondence, and ensure all staffing reports are filed in accordance with facility policy. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in scheduling or administrative support within a healthcare or skilled nursing environment is highly preferred. Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while managing scheduling variances. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build a positive rapport with interdepartmental staff.
