Gastroenterology Opportunity As a gastroenterologist with Allina, you will immerse yourself in a role that perfectly balances procedural and clinical responsibilities with administrative duties, all within a 36-hour workweek. Our expanding group of five gastroenterologists has openings in Buffalo, Cambridge or Hastings, Minnesota, utilizing five procedure centers across the metro. In seeing your patients at an Allina location, you will have: Procedure schedule from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, then from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM Each week consisting of 14+ clinic hours and 20+ endoscopy hours/week Public Service Loan Forgiveness program access along with Student Loan Coaching services through EdAssist Case load of up to 14 patients on clinical days which are blocked at half hour intervals Flexibility for less than 1.0 FTE Allina Health Surgery Center Partners, LLC offers a unique opportunity for surgeons to become part of something bigger. Principle Responsibilities Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being. Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management. Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows. May participate in peer review and quality assurance. Job Requirements Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalency from an approved school of medicine required and Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics required and Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Gastroenterology or Pediatric Gastroenterology required 2 years + of demonstrated experience in the designated specialty required Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire and ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, or in Gastroenterology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics upon hire required and Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $500,000 to $630,000 per yearThe pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
