JobSummary The Regional Sales Director is primarily responsible for managing the Sales function for all States in the region.The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Sales department and ensuring that the execution of this department is aligned with the larger company wide strategy in partnership with VP Sales and Marketing. KeyResponsibilities LeadershipResponsibilities Leads the Sales function for the Corporation, in consultation with the VP Sales & VP of Business Development. Workstodevelopandimplementsalesstrategiesandtactics. Consistentlyexercisesdiscretionandindependentjudgmentinguidingandshapingthestrategiesofmultipleteams. In the directorial role, the worker is primarily engaged in enterprise management by providing strategic direction in employee training, status changes, job assignments, policy formulation, disciplinary actions, and ensuring rigorous compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor. SalesPlanning Develops and implements tactical sales plan for all States. Works with VP Sales & Biz Dev to set Annual Sales Goals and define the strategies to attain them. Evaluates and implements appropriate sales techniques to increase sales volume, profitably. Works with Sales Leadership on Annual Budget and Resource Allocation. Works with Sales Leadership annually to refine the Long-Term (3-Year) Financial Plan for the business. Works independently and with Distributor to attain STIIIZY sales plan in respective Markets when applicable. Works with Sales Team to develop Targeted Accounts in Focus Channels in Focus Markets. Works with Sales Team to design and recommend sales programs for Targeted Accounts. Tracks, evaluates, and reports sales results to VP Sales. Develops action plans based on gained market and account intelligence to address market issues and capitalize on opportunities. WorkswithVPofBusinessDevelopmenttoforecastfutureshipmentanddepletiontrendstoensuresufficientstocktoservicethemarketandavoidout-of-stocks. Researches and develops pricing policies for all sales channels. Conducts regular competitive pricing intelligence and pricing surveys in Focus Markets. ParticipatesinSalesPlanningoffsitemeetings,asneeded. SalesExecution Works with the Sales Team to develop key account relationships across all channels. Helps maintain and develop established account relationships. Provides management with market intelligence including sales trends, new products, and key competitor activity. Remains aware of changes in the market environment and adjusts plans accordingly. Acts as liaison between the management and the team, leading the team to make its quotas, correcting any problem that comes up and motivating the sales team. Coordinatesthesales,filingimportantdocumentsandcommunicatingrelevantinformation. Ensurestheadequacyofsales-relatedequipmentormaterial. Respondstocomplaintsfromcustomersandgivesafter-salessupportwhenrequested. Workswithretailersoneverylevel(fullcustomerserviceorientation). Storesandsortsfinancialandnon-financialdatainelectronicformandpresentreports. Handlestheprocessingofallorderswithaccuracyandtimeliness. Evaluateson-the-jobperformanceofsalesteam. Identifiesfutureandcurrenttrendsthatappealtoconsumers. Ensuresitemsareinstockandmaintaininventory. Keepsupwithfluctuatingdemandandsupply. Monitorslocalcompetitors. Presidesoverregionalstaffmeetings. Assistssalesstaffinachievingsalestargets. WorkswithMarketingandCustomerServiceGroupstohandlecustomercomplaints,questions,andissues DistributorManagement Works with Key Accounts in conjunction with the distributor sales force through work-withs, or independently as needed, to build relationships, increase influence and gain market and account intelligence. Follow up with distributor sales force to ensure sales accomplishments are executed. Builds Top Distributor Relationships within Focus Markets, ensuring distributor focus and execution against STIIIZY objectives. Conduct regular business meetings with area distributor sales force (minimum Quarterly). Providespromptresponseandactiontodistributorrequests. Training&Promotions ConductsrepresentSTIIIZYatKeyTradeandConsumerevents,asapprovedbyVPSales. Providesvalue-addedtrainingfordistributorsalesteams,onSTIIIZYbrandsanduniqueproductattributes. Manages POS needs for distributors in territory and provides accounting of annual spend. Provides recommendations for POS needs in Focus Markets. Developsandexecutespromotionstoincreasevolumesalesandbrandawareness.Workswithlocalagenciestoensureseamlesstrainingandexecution. ManagespersonalT&Ebudget.ExercisesthehighestleveloffiduciarydutytotheSTIIIZYinallfinancialmatters,includingbudgets,promotionalspending,andeveryaspectoftheCompanysbusiness. Sales Management Experience (5-7 years), preferably Industry Experience with a Supplier, Distributor, or other Three-Tier managerial experience. Knowledge of Distributor management, personnel and systems is a major benefit.
