Job Description Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller who is ready for the next step in their career or is currently performing at a senior level in a similar environment. As a Senior Cost Controller, you will be involved with: Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts for complex and high-value projects. Lead the preparation and review of cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives. Provide strategic cost insights and scenario analyses to support decision-making and alternative selection. Evaluate and analyze fee proposals and bids, offering clear recommendations for leadership review. Develop and maintain detailed forecasts and cash flow analyses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Maintain and manage comprehensive cost reports, delivering regular updates on financial position to project leadership and stakeholders. Support the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule, ensuring alignment between cost and schedule performance. Develop advanced reporting and tracking tools; generate cost reports on a regular basis, including earned value analysis and variance reporting. Build and manage complex spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate manipulation of large datasets. Extract, transform, and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and maintain a clean audit trail. Support SOX control responsibilities where applicable, ensuring compliance with all required standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field. Minimum 57 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry. Demonstrated experience supporting cost management on large and complex construction projects. Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present cost insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently, mentor junior team members, and contribute to a collaborative project environment.
