We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support our high-mix contract electronics manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted production by sourcing electronic components, fabricated materials, and indirect supplies in a fast-paced environment. If you have strong ERP experience, supplier negotiation skills, and EMS industry background, we want to connect with you. This is a 100% onsite position in Canby, Oregon. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Procure electronic components, PCBA materials, fabricated parts, and indirect supplies. Create and manage purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred). Monitor open orders and proactively mitigate shortages and delays. Expedite materials to prevent production disruptions. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve material issues. Maintain accurate pricing and lead time data in ERP. Support inventory optimization and supply chain improvement initiatives. Coordinate inbound logistics and resolve invoice discrepancies. Qualifications Required 5+ years of purchasing in a manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years specifically in the electronics / EMS industry Strong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis). Experience negotiating pricing and managing supplier performance. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment. Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred. Preferred Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing. Knowledge of electronic components and PCBA supply chains. Familiarity with supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
