Accounting Associate $ 26 - $ 28 / Hour Escondido, California Accounting & Finance Contract to hire Position Summary LHH is partnering with a growing construction company based in Escondido to hire a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support their day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, has hands-on accounting experience, and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The position will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory tracking, and general administrative support, working closely with ownership, project managers, and field staff. Key Accounting Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, coding, approvals, and timely payments Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances Assist with inventory tracking, including materials, tools, and job-related supplies Maintain accurate records in the accounting system Maintain organized and accurate financial files (digital and paper) Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable Prior experience in construction, contracting, or a related industry preferred Familiarity with Sage accounting software preferred Basic understanding of inventory tracking or materials management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic office software Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with an early start schedule Schedule: MondayThursday: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM Friday: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM Why Join Consistent early schedule with afternoons free Stable, locally based construction company Hands-on role with variety and visibility Team-oriented, practical work environment Opportunity to grow with the company Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour Search managed by: Erin Kile Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
