Air Reserve Technician (ART) Position The primary purpose of this position is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) role. The position is responsible for managing the training program within the unit maintenance organization. This program includes on-the-job training, civilian training requirements, re-training, formal school, instructional systems development, professional military education, ancillary training, unit training planning, providing technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within maintenance on all aspects of the training programs elements, preparing briefings regarding status of programs, and providing training to newly assigned personnel, those within maintenance functions and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein. AFSC: 3F2X1 Qualifications include: Knowledge of AFRC Reserve mission and training methods, policies, procedures, regulations, instructions, and documentation requirements. Knowledge of training goals and objectives in the management, implementation and instruction of training programs for the maintenance unit(s). Knowledge of methods and procedures for analyzing unit training statistics. Knowledge of and skill in using automated systems to prepare reports and extract data from them. Ability to analyze automated products to determine adequacy of program and/or deficiencies. Knowledge of maintenance Air Force Specialty Code skill-level qualifications, update, enhancement, and proficiency training requirements. Skill in oral and written communication and ability to coordinate with all levels of command to ensure accomplishment of training program objectives. Other significant facts pertaining to this position are: This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow the incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies. The incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, the incumbent may also be assigned non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. The incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY) away from the normal duty station. The incumbent may be required to work overtime to meet workload demands. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty. Performs other duties as assigned. Part-time or unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be credited for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
