Position Overview The Compliance Manager will be a key member of the Legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel as well as a dotted line report to the Director of Process Innovation, specifically responsible for all compliance functions of the company. Responsibilities include initiating or maintaining ISO (9001/14001/27001/45001), corporate insurance requirements, state licensure and registration and company compliance with Prevailing Wage Act, Foreign Entity of Concern under the Inflation Reduction Act and FINCEN. The Compliance Manager role is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position that will regularly work with various function groups across the organization. The position will be located in Westborough, MA, but will require travel to other company locations and customer sites across the US. Key Responsibilities Manage the company standard policies and procedures that ensure robust and thorough protocols. Investigate, assess and develop plans for compliance with regulations governing business activities across the United States. Review project documents and agreements to assess exposures and propose mitigation strategies that support business objectives. Investigate business operations and processes to identify opportunities for process improvements leading to compliance and certifications where applicable. Interface with regulators on compliance with permits, ordinance and other matters. Establish protocols that facilitate efficient audits across company functions for ISO certifications. Ensure proper handling of corporate records in accordance with the company bylaws ensuring adherence to corporate authorizations and delegations of authority. Coordinate with and support the Cybersecurity Manager in performance of their duties providing information security. Interface with company insurance providers and where necessary act as company representative in risk discussions. Oversee implementation of and compliance with Prevailing Wage Act audit procedures in support of customers. Research and implement business and contractor licensing in jurisdictions where the company is engaged in work. Interface with internal audit, compliance, and legal department colleagues from LGES HQ as needed to support internal corporate compliance requirements. Oversee compliance to relevant state licensing regulations (including electrical, safety, etc.) and monitor changes to those regulations, communicating updates within the organization as required. Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes Experience in corporate compliance, filings, and business licensure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with resourcefulness and attention to detail. Proven ability to "roll up" her/his sleeves and get involved at a detailed level. Strong communication skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with subcontractors, internal function groups and customers. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and a capacity to build strong working relationships across the organization Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong initiative and ability to handle a high volume of complex matters at one time. Qualifications Experience working for a solar, wind, and or energy storage company, or in the construction industry would be an asset. Substantial experience in construction, manufacturing or engineering a plus. Minimum 5 years' experience in a compliance or related role on complex energy or construction projects. Bachelor's degree; Major in business or law a plus.
