Operations Analyst The Operations Analyst supports the productivity, efficiency, and performance of the factory by analyzing operational data, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing tools that optimize throughput, quality, and cost. This role works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent, data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Collect, organize, and analyze operational data (production, downtime, labor, quality, throughput, inventory, sustainability metrics). Build dashboards and KPIs to monitor site performance and identify improvement opportunities. Translate complex data into clear insights to support leadership decisions, including ESG-related performance indicators (waste, energy, water, safety, diversity metrics). Support the site and business in meeting ESG requirements through: Environmental: Track and analyze environmental metrics such as energy usage, waste, recycling rates, water consumption, scrap, and carbon-impact indicators. Support initiatives to reduce waste, improve material efficiency, and optimize resource consumption. Provide data that supports audits, sustainability reporting, and compliance activities. Social: Assist with monitoring safety metrics, near-miss trends, and corrective actions. Support programs related to training compliance, employee engagement, diversity tracking, and workforce well-being. Gather feedback from shop-floor teams during factory time to help identify social or cultural improvement opportunities. Governance: Ensure data integrity, transparency, and documentation for both operational and ESG reporting. Support adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements. Maintain reporting accuracy for board-level ESG dashboards and compliance processes. Identify operational and ESG-related improvement opportunities. Support continuous improvement (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma) across production, maintenance, warehousing, and sustainability programs. Measure and report the impact of implemented changes. Participate in DRM and other operational routines, providing analytics and insights. Assist in issue investigation (downtime, quality, safety, environmental excursions). Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and supply chain to ensure data supports stable operations. Manage and improve operational data systems (MES, ERP, BI tools). Maintain ESG data collection tools, dashboards, and digital reporting platforms. Train users on data systems and ensure consistent data standards. Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance teams. Support rollout of operational and ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment and consistent reporting. Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel/Sheets; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). Familiarity with ESG metrics or reporting frameworks is a plus. Experience with ERP/MES systems preferred. Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Work Environment: In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced. The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens. The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $95,000 per year.
