If this sounds like you, then we need to talk Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Chassis Paint Prepper to join our team. The Chassis Paint Prepper at Frazer reports to the Paint Manager, and is responsible for assisting painters by preparing chassis, modules, doors, and small parts for paint through sanding, masking, bodywork repair, and overall surface preparation. This is an entry-level opportunity to build paint prep skills and grow into a painting role over time. What Does a Week in the Life of the Chassis Paint Prepper Look Like? Read work orders or receive instructions from the supervisor regarding prep work Prepare surfaces for painting using sandpaper, brushes, steel wool, and solvents Fill holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, body filler, or other materials Remove fixtures prior to painting and install forms to protect unpainted areas Tape and cover surfaces with masking tape and paper to protect areas during painting Clean paint equipment and assist painters as needed Maintain station readiness, including daily housekeeping and moving units or parts to the next work center Participate in light paint maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning paint booths, and removing or recycling paint waste Observe and follow all safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions Use equipment and materials properly and safely Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to perform physical, hands-on work for extended periods Willingness to learn paint prep and painting techniques Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and quality Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience in paint prep, bodywork, or manufacturing environments Familiarity with sanding, masking, or surface preparation Experience working in a team-based production setting What's it like to be a part of the Frazer Family? Work Schedule This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on production needs.
