Job Description

Payroll Associate The Payroll Associate supports accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing and timekeeping activities in a multi-state, union and non-union environment. This role assists with day-to-day payroll operations, timekeeping compliance, and data validation, working closely with Payroll leadership to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. Core Responsibilities 1. Timekeeping Support & Compliance Monitor daily timesheet submissions and follow up on missing or incomplete entries. Assist with enforcing timekeeping policies and escalation procedures. Review time entries for basic pay rule compliance and accuracy. Support accurate labor charging to cost centers, programs, or contracts as directed. 2. Payroll Processing Support Assist with multi-state payroll processing for union and non-union employees. Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, pay rates, and overtime. Help resolve payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries. Support off-cycle payrolls when needed. 3. Union & Deduction Administration Assist with processing union dues and standard payroll deductions. Support reconciliation activities and maintain documentation for audits. Coordinate with Payroll leadership on union-related payroll questions. 4. UKG System Support Support payroll and timekeeping processes within UKG. Assist with data entry, audits, and basic configuration updates as assigned. Help troubleshoot employee and manager issues related to time entry and pay. 5. Controls, Reporting & Audit Support Assist with pre-payroll reviews and validation checks. Prepare standard payroll and timekeeping reports. Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation. 6. Communication & Training Support Respond to employee payroll and timekeeping questions. Support manager education on time entry and approvals. Escalate issues that may impact payroll accuracy or compliance.
