The Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment in the food processing facility. The Sanitation Associate is expected to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times, maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner at all times, and follow all health and safety regulations. Detailed Responsibilities: General Cleaning Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean, and sanitize receptacles on a daily basis Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing them with floor scrubber Clean and wipe down racks Clean metal tables and sanitize on a daily basis Re-stock vinyl gloves in all sizes in designated areas Check for leaks, drips, and condensation Equipment Cleaning Clean all food manufacturing machinery according to SSOPs Clean and sanitize hand wash sinks and three department sinks Wash dishes and utensils as necessary Use proper PPE while performing cleaning task Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures according to policy when applicable General Responsibilities Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs This position requires 0% travel. Attitude and Attendance: Arrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedure Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner Treats co-workers with respect at all times Escalates attitude issues among janitors to FSQA Manager Uses teamwork with working with production throughout the day Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred 2+ years of experience working in the food industry Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Must have floor presence and be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
